PLANNING CONTENT TO STOP THE SCROLL

Instagram is constantly evolving, but what people are looking for from your social media has not really changed: your clients are looking for inspiration and to build connections 

When you plan your posts, imagine you are creating a story board about you and your brand for your customers to get to know you. 

Think of what describes you and your business and why a client will choose you over your competitor. Don't be afraid to show your personality. 
 

You can take a photo of your running shoes and post about how you feel when you run or your favourite book to talk about why the book inspires you. Try a picture of your colour bowls behind the scenes and talk about how you prepare your colour or what colour you use and why. Give yourself some time to get creative.  

VIDEO, PHOTOS, REELS, STORIES

You've might have heard that photos are over and it's all about the video. Instagram, TikTok and Facebook are definitely focussed on developing video streams, but don't get too hung up on it. 

Focus on creating the content that shows the best of you, your personality, your workspace(s) and what what you do.

My top tip is that the more you practice sitting in front of a camera and talking, the better you get at it; so the sooner you get started, the sooner you'll be doing videos like a pro. 

Reels are a great way to showcase your work. Find a really simple transition that works for you, then you can use that to create content quickly and easily.
